We had three nights with my dad‘s female side of the family which is a total of 20 ladies. At any one time we had 17. Complete accommodation for that many plus! Loved the separation with two bedrooms down and one being large enough to hold seven if needed. Then three bedrooms up. It rained the first two days. We tried to start a fire on the third day but of course the fire pit was too wet. Should’ve thought of that sooner and put something plastic over it. You can imagine how loud that many women can be but there was so much room to spread out it didn’t matter. Plenty of parking spaces for about eight cars I think. Three refrigerators! We never even bought ice. We brought all her own food and only had to heat it up. We never went out to eat! These are memories we will never forget. Thank you so much for the accommodation.
We spent a long weekend here with our extended family (4 families, 17 people of all ages). We could not have imagined a better house for so many with so many things to do: swim, kayak, fish, play pool, ping pong, games, fire pit, or admire the lake view from 2 decks. And Dawn was such a gracious and attentive host all the way from planning to leaving. The house was equipped with the little touches that make travel easier: shampoo, conditioner, soap at every sink, lots of towels, kitchen essentials, extra toilet paper. The house guide had great suggestions for local activities and we had a great experience renting a boat for our family. The house is quiet and everyone had plenty of space. Our whole family LOVED it!
This house is so great for a family get together, especially with the two kitchens for extra space. We didn’t use the upstairs kitchen because we all fit at the main kitchen table, but thought it was really nice if you go with 2 families. The pool was to cold for us to use, being that there isn’t a heater, But we enjoyed lounging around and watching the ducks swim up and down the river. We also enjoyed fishing and kayaking tight off of the dock.
The location is really nice and close to the square, where we enjoyed walking around and going out for dinner. The host suggested some really great places to eat and indulge!
The only thing we wish we knew about was one of the bathrooms that are attached to the room that sleeps 5 people only has a bathtub no shower head holder. It just had a hand held and no shower curtain so it was a little crazy getting ready at the same time with the crew that we had. Also they’re is no hallway bathroom on the main floor so you have to go through a bedroom to go to a bathroom.
This beautiful home is even better than the photos describe. We absolutely loved it and Dawn is such a sweet hostess.
Fantastic large home! We had a family get together and this was the perfect home. The pool is fantastic and the closeness of the lake was also fun! The spacious home was perfect for us and the 2nd kitchen and game room upstairs was a huge hit! We enjoyed staying in this home!
Great location, easy to get to... beautiful setting. Great space for family get togethers.
If you want to enjoy a family get together with extended family or have a group of 10-12 that gather once a year, this is the place. The open floor plan in the common areas is perfect. The pool is a good size or was my 10 women gathering. (not everyone got in) The pool table/turned into ping pong table was awesome. We had a wonderful time! And we booked it for next year!
Yes, there is a dock where a boat or jet ski can be tied up.
The closest public boat ramp is across from Mesquite Pit restaurant on Pearl St. (It is a 14 minute drive) The restaurant address is 919 E Pearl St, Granbury. The entrance to the boat ramp area is directly across from it on the other side of of Pearl St.
A trailer/boat can be parked in the grass along the street directly in front of the house, or along the grass on the other side of the driveway on the north side of the home
No, but you can still find my kids swimming in it most of the year
We do allow dogs upon request. There is a $225 pet fee and we like to ensure it isn't on a same-day turn so we have ample time to get all of the dog hair out of the house and cleaned extra well for the next guests.
